Eric Dove and GreenLightGo
The first public performance for Eric's new band GreenLightGo is now slated for January 5th at the Kickstand Pub! The lineup: None other than Chico Lee on lead guitars and backing vocals. Chico is a veteran of the Columbus and Dayton music scenes and has played lead guitar with Eric in various situations for over 15 years. Needless to say, the two play together as if driven by one brain (who has the bigger half might be the question), always in sync and always knowing what the other will do next...even if you don’t. Greg Morgan on drums. Also a veteran of the Columbus music scene for many years, Greg was most known as the clock-steady and powerful drummer for the popular regional and campus-area band, Gingley JoH...yep, fronted by Eric Dove. Ed D’Angelo on bass guitar and backing vocals. The bottom end for many area bands of many styles, Ed is best recognized as the bassist for ska phenomenon, Fenster. With a soulful precision and a flare for the goofy, Ed was an obvious fit for GreenLightGo. We can't wait to hear these guys take Columbus by storm...help us get the buzz going! They're booking now, so check back here for schedule updates or sign up for the Eric Dove e-mail list!!

Music Video Nearly Complete
The primary concert scenes for the new music video for "Go Big Or Go Home" have been completed and everything is in the editing stages. The day of shooting stretched from 7am until the wrap party at about 5pm and everything went beautifully! The concert scenes went off without a hitch and we'd like to extend a special thanks to all the cast and extras who took time out to be involved. Your enthusiasm during shooting is gonna make the difference! The footage looks outstanding and we can't wait to see the final product. Also, Eric just returned from the final mixing session for the new CD at County Q studios in Nashville. The songs sound outstanding and we can't wait to get this thing out to the public. We'll keep you posted on the release date!

We'll be shooting the concert scenes at Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio this Sunday, Sept. 24th. If you'd like to be an extra and are over 18, just show up at about 2pm for paperwork and we'll be shooting the crowd scenes at 3pm. The more the merrier! Extras Needed For Eric Dove Music Video
That's right, the first ever Eric Dove video is currently in the making! Randy Elkins and Keepsake Productions (the most recent Watershed video, seen on MTV) will be handling the entire production. The song will be "Go Big Or Go Home"...you can hear the most recent version on E'do's MySpace website. Currently the video is in the storyboarding stages, but we do know a few facts. The primary shooting location will be none other than Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio. We're gonna be holding a casting call for lots of extras and a number of lead actors and actresses. This is going to be a big "live" concert scene with a rowdy crowd, as well as an underlying storyline, to be shot on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon sometime before mid-July. If you'd like to be involved for either an extra part or a lead, please sign up to the Eric Dove e-mail list and let us know! We'll be keeping people advised as the details come together. Come join in on the fun...we promise it'll be a blast!

To accompany Eric's new Nashville produced demo CD (look for a new retail release soon), he recently finished up a new line of press photos. The photo shoot was in front of the camera of one of Columbus' hottest up-and-coming entertainment photographers, Leann Ulrich. Take a look at the new shots on the "photos" page and you'll see why E'do was lucky to land a shoot with her on relatively short notice.

Look out Ledo's
It's been confirmed and secured that Eric will indeed be taking over Tuesdays at the OSU hotspot, Ledo's, on North High St. E'do will be the new commander of the party starting on June 6th! Ledo's is famous for their rowdy, packed house on Tuesday nights, hosted for the last 5 years by one-of-a-kind Chris Logsdon, one of Columbus' favorite and most long-standing acoustic performers. Says Eric, "I'm honored to take over the reigns. I'm very stoked to dive into the campus atmosphere too...you can count on Tuesdays to rock like they always have, and I'm planning a few surprises to keep it interesting. If you ever attended a post-game show at the Nuthouse...that's the kinda vibe I'm talking about!" Put in on your calender....10pm, June 6th!

E'do To Open For Jason Aldean
Well this one snuck up on us a bit, but E'do will now be opening for Broken Bow Records recording artist, Jason Aldean this Friday, 3/10! You may recall that Eric and Chico opened for Jason back in October to a sold-out, amped-up crowd at Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio. This show promises to be just as jacked up if not more! Jason's still getting airplay out of his monster hit "Hicktown" and his new single, "Why" is steadily making its way up the charts. Click on the Whiskey Dick's link above to get your tix before they sell out. As usual, the show starts at 7:30, so don't be late...E'do and Chico had a few new tricks up there sleeves at the Josh Turner show, including one particular showstopper...trust us, you don't wanna miss it!

Eric To Open For Josh Turner
We've just gotten word that E'do will now be opening for MCA Nashville recording artist, Josh Turner. If you're a country fan, you certainly know Josh from his humongous hit, "Long Black Train". His new album features his new single "Your Man", which is currently in the Top 10 and climbing. His rolling, baritone voice is certain to be a show-stopper...don't miss it! The venue is none other than Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio. E'do will once again be joined by Mr. Chico Lee on lead guitar and backing vocals. If you haven't seen these two light up the stage as openers at Whiskey Dick's, then you're missing one of THE hottest shows in town. Get your tickets early, as these national act shows having been selling out quicker and quicker! 10 Finalists Chosen
Yes, the results are apparently in and we're sad to report that Eric did not make the final 10 for the Nashville Star T.V. show. Dissappointing, of course, but Eric feels as we all do, that he truly put his best foot forward in all aspects of the Regional Finals. With that in mind and the fact that he was among the final 45 out of over 20,000 who auditioned in the country, it's hard not to be extrememly happy with the effort and grateful for the experience. We want to wish the absolute best of luck to all the Regional Finalists, and particularly the final 10 who will no doubt put on an excellent show come March! These are all talented, dedicated singers trying to make their way the same as E'do, so be sure to tune in Tuesdays at 10pm starting March 14th on USA and give 'em some support! And as always, thanks to all the Eric Dove fans and friends for their unbelievable support and encouragement...you're truly the best!

E'do Rocks Nashville Star - Houston
As most of you know, Eric competed in the Houston Regional Finals for Nashville Star on Tuesday the 3rd. After a long day of interviews with the many producers of the show and rehearsals with the backing band, that evening Eric came out shooting with an acoustic performance of his original song, "Break It All The Way". Then he brought the house down with a dynamic performance of Keith Anderson's "Pickin' Wildflowers" backed by the amazing John Bollinger Nashville Star Band! He definitely put his best foot forward in all aspects of the competition....and the competition was definitely tight. There were a lot of talented performers in Eric's Regional alone, so we can only assume the other Regionals will hold the same. But we certainly feel E'do has that extra something that will land him in the final cut. With the Regional behind him, Eric can now only wait for the completion of the remaining 3 nights of competitors to get word of the final 10 selected to be on the national show. Rest assured, once we know, you'll know!! Keep your fingers crossed!

Eric To Open For Little Big Town
E'do has now been officially booked as opening act for Equity Music Group recording artists, Little Big Town! The show will take place on Friday, Jan. 20 at Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio. As usual, Eric will be joined by the fabulous Chico Lee on lead guitar and backing vocals. Together, they plan to pack a wollup of a show to get the night rolling! Little Big Town is sure to put on a smokin' show as well....with four lead vocalists, tight harmonies and a hot single on the charts, "Boondocks". Be sure not to miss this one! E'do and Chico will take the stage approximately 7:30, with Little Big Town lighting it up at 10pm.

All-Star Band for Nashville Recording Session
Last Thursday Eric went into County Q recording studios in Nashville to record four songs for his new demo and the outcome was awesome. He produced the music tracks for two previously self-recorded songs, "Go Big or Go Home" and "Break It All The Way", plus two new tracks, "Hey Murphy" and "Feel That Way Again". He had the unbelievable fortune of assembling one of the best studio bands possible for this task. These guys' recording credits are a veritable who's who of the music industry. Check this out...Bass - Mike Brignardello: Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Travis Tritt. Acoustic guitar - Mike Noble: Chris Cagle. Fiddle/Mandolin - Glen Duncan: Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, George Jones, Waylon Jennings. Pedal Steel - Dan Dugmore: Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Gary Allen, Keith Urban, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt. Guitar - J.T. Corenflos: Sara Evans, Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Terri Clark, George Jones, Hank Williams Jr., Bob Seger, Jewell. Not to mention the unbelievable talents of Paul Schofeld, drummer and County Q owner, and Kathryn Styron on keys. Plus, four of these guys were nominated for 2005 ACM musician of the year...and Dan Dugmore won it! Now you know why we're so excited! The tracks came out fantastic, as you can imagine, and Eric is now in the process of recording all the vocal tracks in his own studio. Once that is complete, he'll head back down to Nashville for final mixing. We'll keep you posted on the recording process and post MP3's as soon as possible!!

Nashville Star Update
We have now found out that E'do will be competing at the Houston Regional Finals, not the Nashville Regionals as we first thought. This will unfortunately make it tough for those who were planning to road trip down to the show. However, the producers are from L.A. and they hand-picked which contestants would perform where. The Houston Regional is on Jan. 3rd and 4th and is the first of the two Finals. We don't know if that means it's good, bad or inconsequential for Eric to be at Houston, but we'll assume good! Eric will be competing against 18 others there and the Nashville Regional will have 24 performers. From all those, the producers will pick 10 finalists to star on the T.V. show on USA Network and should come to a decision by Jan. 12. Also included in Eric's audition requirements is a video about his friends, family and life in general. He's going to be filming parts of this at the upcoming Jeff Bates show (see below). Come see a great show and say a few words for Eric on camera!!

Eric To Open For Jeff Bates Again
Back by popular demand, on Friday Dec. 16, Eric will be opening the show for RCA Nashville recording artist Jeff Bates at Whiskey Dick's! As for his previous Whiskey Dick's show last June, Eric and Chico Lee will start the show at approximately 7:30 until Jeff's 10pm start. Jeff Bates' CD has gotten rave reviews and produced several hit singles including "The Love Song", "Good People", and "Long, Slow Kisses", which has become Jeff's trademark. It was a thundering one-two punch last time with E'do and Jeff Bates...they both promise to kick it up another notch this time! Come get some!

Eric Wins Nashville Star - Detroit!
That's right! E'do won the Detroit audition for the fourth season of the USA Network hit original series, "Nashville Star"! Eric auditioned on Monday along with approximately 300 other hopefuls. He then moved on to Round 2 on Tuesday along with 25 other contestants. There, he knocked out 2 minutes and 30 seconds each of "Pickin' Wildflowers" and his original, "Break It All The Way". At the end of the day, the judges gave Eric the nod to move on to the Regional Finals on Jan. 6th and 7th in Nashville, one of only two Regional Finals in the country. We're still awaiting details, but we're expecting Eric to compete against 30 - 40 others in the Regional for a spot on this year's reality/talent search T.V. show. We'll keep you posted with any details we get. Nashville Star has produced such talents as Buddy Jewel, Horizon Award nominee - Miranda Lambert, Brad Cotter, and last year's winner, Erika Jo. As always, the grand prize will be a top level major label recording contract.

An Awesome Crowd
This was without a doubt the most wired crowd E'do has ever warmed up! E'do and Chico took the stage at 7:30 and played until Broken Bow Records recording artist, Jason Aldean came on and rocked the crowd at 10. From the first note, the floor was packed and singing along to both covers and Eric Dove originals. We got video footage of most of the evening for the purposes of a promo video and a music video. If you were there, chances are we got you on video! (Some of you gave us quite a show) There couldn't have been a better show to tape. Eric and Chico put on an amazing show and the audience was just one big party! As we've said before, if you haven't seen an Eric Dove show at Whiskey Dick's before a national act, you don't know what you're missing!

Eric Ranked #1 on MySpace.com
A short week after being added to the music profiles on the website, MySpace.com, as of today E'do is currently ranked as the #1 unsigned country artist in Ohio out of 86 artists! In addition, he is ranked #1 in the acoustic category out of 816 artists!! Plus, nationally he is currently ranked as the #8 unsigned country artist out of 4727 artists!!! This is a great resource for new music and we'd like to thank Justin Moodley of ColumbusParty.com (see the links page) for setting Eric up. Also, thanks to all the MySpace.com friends who've helped E'do climb the ranks! Keep checking the profile...we'll be adding pix and new MP3's soon!

Steve is known for a great live show and as always, Chico Lee will be adding harmonies and flashy guitar licks to Eric's high-energy show. Put it all together and it's a can't-miss event! If you're an Eric Dove fan, but haven't yet seen one of his opening shows at Whiskey Dick's, you don't know what you're missing! Eric Dove T-shirt Design Finalized
It started with Paul and Sarah working on a simple t-shirt design as a surprise to E'do. However, as more opinions entered the process, it escalated into a full-blown Cjones design. Now Sarah is taking orders AT COST for a very limited time. She needs confirmed orders by 8/15/05 to get them back in time for the Colgate Country Showdown State Finals. The first-run price will be $10 - $12 (basically at cost). The future retail price will be higher. If you're interested, send an e-mail with your size, number of shirts, name, and address to sarah_holdrieth@yahoo.com. Be the first kid on your block to have one!!

Jeff Bates' new CD has gotten rave reviews and already has spawned two hit singles, "The Love Song", and currently "Long, Slow Kisses", which is still making its way up the charts. His debut CD also received a 5-star rating from Entertainment Magazine (out of 5), so this promises to be an excellent show. As with all his national act opening gigs, Eric will be joined by none other than Chico Lee in his second set. Eric will start around 7pm with Chico joining him around 8:30. You can expect a high energy dose of hit covers and originals....there's been a high return of fans from previous Whiskey Dick's shows, so more and more people know the words to sing along! Eric Lands First Nashville Song Cut
As you may know, Eric has been working very hard for the last 3 or 4 years writing, re-writing, and rewriting again, many songs for Writer Zone Publishing in Nashville. In the last year or so many of his songs have been plugged along side songs from some of the best writers in Nashville to various producers and artists. They say getting that first cut is the hardest and it's not unusual for an aspiring songwriter to pack it up empty-handed after years of trying. Fortunately for Eric, that won't be the case. His song "Nobody Does Nothin' Better Than Me" (hear a clip on the Music page), co-written by Rand Bishop (Toby Keith's "My List"), was recently picked up by new Nashville artist J.C. Andersen and will be released on his debut CD this month. J.C. is an artist also looking for his big break into mainstream country. Who knows - maybe "Nobody Does Nothin..." will help put them both in the big time!

WINNER! - Colgate Country Showdown, Cinci
Eric brought home a victory in the Cincinnati local heat of the Colgate Country Showdown on Saturday! Eric was selected to compete along with 6 other entries from nearly 60 sumbissions to B105 FM in Cincinnati. In a 3-judge system which remains consistent throughout the competition, Eric beat out two other solo artists and 4 bands to move on to the State Finals at Wyandotte Lake in Columbus on September 4th. The winner of that competition moves on to the Regionals, with the finalists from 5 Regionals competing for $100,000 next January. Past Colgate Country Showdowns boast competitors such as Martina McBride and Garth Brooks. Not bad company to keep at all! Keep checking back for updates and come on out to support Eric in the State Finals!

A Beautiful Crowd
A little stage perspective pre-Sugarland last Friday! What a crowd! As usual, Whiskey Dick's was rockin' and then some. Eric played before a sold out house from 7:30 to 9:45 with Chico joining him for a smackdown final set. The crowd was amped up and singing back the whole way. Sugarland came out to a thoroughly warmed up crowd and delivered their trademark harmonies with a great set of their own. Look for pix soon on the pictures page! Also, keep a close eye on this page in the near future. Whiskey Dick's is promising one more national act before summer and E'do and Chico will be there to open up....
05/03/05
Opening Act for Sugarland
Though on relatively short notice, Eric has now been tapped as opener for Mercury Nashville recording artists, Sugarland. The venue is once again Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, May 6. Sugarland had a smash with their first single "Baby Girl" which is still holding steady on the charts and they just release their second single. They're known for stellar harmonies, so this promises to be a killer show. As always, Tom "Chico" Lee will join E'do on stage to assist on backing vocals and 12-string. This show has already sold out as of today, so if you already have tickets, we'll see you there. If you don't, then come on over to Cheeseburger in Paradise at 10:30...Chico and E'do will be pulling a double shift directly after the 7:30 to 9:45 show for Sugarland.

Keep on Rockin' Whiskey Dicks
Eric and Chico once again knocked 'em dead at Whiskey Dick's last Friday as the opener for Buddy Jewell! E'do kicked things off with a killer set of covers ranging from country to country rock, then Chico came on board to help dole out a heavy dose of original music. After an encore from Eric and Chico, Buddy took the stage and dazzled with his smooth country vocals and excellent band. It was a good night with fans travelling from West Virginia and Indiana to see Eric's show not to mention some of the fam. Look for photos of the event in the photo section.

Opening Act for Buddy Jewell
E'do has now been confirmed as the opening act for Sony recording artist, Buddy Jewell. The venue is once again Whiskey Dick's in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, April 22. If you were there for the Josh Gracin show, then you witnessed two hours of kickin' country tunes from Eric followed by an encore-winning third set joined on stage by Chico Lee on 12-string. This show promises not to disappoint as well. As I'm sure you know, Buddy Jewell was the original champion of the USA Network country talent search, "Nashville Star". He soon did Sony proud by having the quickest ever single to hit number one on the country charts with "Help Pour Out the Rain" and followed up with the top-10 hit "Sweet Southern Comfort". The current single from his sophomore effort, "Any Other Woman" is currently screaming up the charts as well. This show will no doubt sell out fast, so get your tickets now. You can purchase them at the Whiskey Dick's website. The show will start at 7:30 pm.

"Chico" Lees. The sold out crowd was on its feet and up front for two hours of music from Eric, followed by an hour-long original set by
Eric accompanied by Chico. By the time Gracin hit the stage, the audience was VERY wired and ready to go, even calling Eric and Tom out
for an encore. After finishing up with a rendition of "Shooting Star", they left the stage to Josh Gracin, who knocked out a killer set of
his own. Look for photos of the event in the photo section.
